Frequently Asked Questions (Products)

My file isn’t printing correctly. How do I fix this?

The vast majority of printing problems can be fixed with the “Print as Image” solution in Adobe Reader! Learn more about how to use that HERE.

Where can I learn more about your literacy products and how to use them?

I have a free catalog that walks you through my main resources. It can help you decide which resources are right for you and your students! You can grab the catalog HERE.

I teach in a split-grade class (i.e. 1st and 2nd). How should I select products for my students?

I always recommend getting the lower of the two grade levels. So if you teach in a 1st and 2nd grade class, get a 1st grade version. You can always differentiate in small groups or 1:1 to challenge your more advanced students!

I teach in Canada and am looking to buy some of your literacy products. How does the Canadian curriculum align to the U.S. curriculum?

While I’ve never taught in Canada, my Canadian teacher friends tell me that it’s usually best to purchase one grade level down. If you teach first grade, for example, try a Kindergarten product. You can also check the preview file of any resource in my TpT store to see example lessons to help you make your decision!

Frequently Asked Questions (Webinars)

I’m not getting your emails messages / webinar reminders. How can I fix this?

If you’ve already checked spam, try adding me as a contact (Alison@learningattheprimarypond.com) in your email address. This usually helps!

What time zone do you schedule your webinars on?

I’m on U.S. Central time, so that’s the time that’s typically listed on my webinars. If the webinar software doesn’t automatically convert to your time zone, you can use this time zone converter to figure out when to watch on your local time.

Help! I’m on your webinar and I can’t chat! What should I do?

If you’re having chat box issues, try reconnecting or use a different device. But if it still doesn’t work, no worries – you’re still automatically entered into giveaways. And if you have any lingering questions you couldn’t ask, you can email me after the webinar is over.

Can I get professional development credit for your free webinars?

It depends on your school or district! I always provide you with a certificate for your continuing education credits. The certificate gets emailed to you after you attend a webinar, and then you can submit that certificate to your district / state.
